According to Geomerx.com, The Lucky Pelican is a casual bistro serving homemade “comfort food” for lunch and dinner. Creative Loafing gave it a mixed review, leaning more towards “good”, indicating it is a fine start, but the execution of the menu is a little spotty.
Finally, ThisWeekInSarasota.com has advertised a magic show every Saturday night, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., starting on November 8th. You may want to call to verify this info.

We’ve been regulars at the pelican for some time. They have a rockin lunch business but we like dinner the best, great seafood for fair prices. Plus the menu preparations are fresh and new.

Poor customer service provided by management and owner. My husband and I visited this establishment frequently since discovering it this past spring. We have taken friends and family there on several occasions and recommended it to others. During our last visit there was a miscommunication regarding one of our entrees and when we requested to speak to the manager, he refused to come over. We also learned the owner was there, had discussed our issue with the server, and he also did not want to discuss it with us. We were very disappointed that both manager and owner did not want to deal with us. We will never return to The Lucky Pelican and we will no longer recommend this establishment.
