Ardour - Digital Audio Workstation: If you run a Mac or Linux, you have the opportunity to install Ardour: a FREE recording program that is gaining some traction and maturing pretty quickly.  I have not used the program that much as I have become accustomed to the software I currently use.  So, I can not give a real review of the software. If you have used the software, please feel free to leave a comment below and let us know what you think of it.

It is also important to know that due to the proprietary nature of MicroSoft, Ardour is not planning on creating a version of the software for the Windows operating system.
