Tom Carabasi

Tom Carabasi, originally from Philadelphia, has spent more than 18 years creating music in Sarasota, Florida. you can read more about the drummer, percussionist, and band leader at his myspace page.

On October 2nd, we caught a show at Esca in Sarasota with a new group Tom has put together. The band, consisting of bass, drums, percussion, sax, and guitar, played some great jazz with a world music twist. If you recall, October 2nd was the night of the 2008 Vice Presidential debate, and even though that debate had record breaking viewing numbers, Esca still got a pretty good crowd.
